What to expect during your body treatment

Body spa treatments typically begin with a consultation to understand your specific needs and preferences. Body wraps and exfoliation treatments may include a relaxing shower either partway through or at the conclusion of the treatment. The Spa Rooms is fully equipped with a beautiful private shower and bathroom.

The treatment may involve a variety of techniques, products, and rituals to provide a holistic experience. Here is a brief overview of some popular body spa treatments:

  1. Meditation and Foot Ritual: Our signature welcome ritual, we start all our treatments with a few minutes of deep breathing and guided relaxation meditation to assist in bringing you, the client, to help still the busy mind and propel you into a state of deep relaxation. BEFORE you get on the bed. This ensures you maximise your treatment time in a state of true rest and bliss. As we meditate we wash your feet - partly for hygiene reasons and partly for the soul/sole benefits of having your feet washed :-) If you DO NOT LIKE having your feet touched at all, please let the therapist know before the treatment starts.
  2. Massage Therapy: Massage is a widely recognised body treatment that involves the manipulation of muscles and soft tissues to relieve stress, reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Different massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, or aromatherapy, may be used depending on your preferences and goals. With this delicious Lemon Myrtle and lime body treatment. Includes The Spa Rooms Welcome ritual, full body scrub, hot towel removal and post shower body hydration. A perfect pre-tan treat.
  3. Body Scrubs and Exfoliation: These treatments involve the application of exfoliating products, such as salt or sugar scrubs, to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother, softer skin. Exfoliation helps improve skin texture, enhance circulation, and allow better absorption of moisturisers.
  4. Body Wraps: Body wraps involve the application of nourishing substances, such as mud, clay, seaweed, or herbal preparations, to the body. The body is then wrapped in warm linens or blankets to enhance the absorption of the beneficial ingredients. Body wraps can detoxify the skin, hydrate and firm the body, and promote relaxation.
  5. Hydrotherapy: Hydrotherapy treatments utilise water to provide therapeutic benefits. These treatments may include hydro-massage, mineral baths, Vichy showers (multiple showerheads), or immersion in pools or whirlpools. Hydrotherapy can help relax muscles, relieve joint pain, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being.
  6. Body Treatments with Essential Oils: Aromatherapy-based body treatments combine therapeutic essential oils with massage techniques to promote relaxation, balance, and harmony. The scents of the oils can have a calming or invigorating effect, and the massage helps release tension and improve energy flow.

Body spa treatments offer a range of benefits, including stress reduction, improved circulation, detoxification, skin rejuvenation, and enhanced relaxation. They provide a luxurious escape from daily life and allow you to indulge in self-care and rejuvenation.

It's important to consult with spa professionals to determine the most suitable body spa treatment for your needs and any specific concerns you may have. They will help tailor the experience to provide maximum benefits and ensure your comfort throughout the treatment.
